COVID-19 Diary

My family and I have been quarantined since about March 17th and we have been able to spend more time together. Some of the things we have been doing is playing card games and board games. I was able to find some UNO cards and the board game Trouble in our storage closet. Our daughter was curious to play both and we taught her. This time together has been special and brought back some childhood memories for me.

I’ve been truly blessed during this pandemic to work from home. I saw an article online that talked about people feeling less productive while working from home. For me, it’s the opposite; I feel more productive working from home. I’ve been able to get more done because I’m in the comfort of my home and I do not not have to leave. I can also put in more hours so that helps my productivity.

I’m not sure what the coming days or months may bring. My family and I are doing all we can to stay safe. When I take a trip to run errands, I ensure I have a mask on to protect myself and those around me. It’s my duty to protect my home front. As my state slowly reopens, I do not see me and family rushing back to eating inside restaurants anytime soon. We will continue to cook home-cooked meals and order curbside occasionally.

Lastly, I’m glad I was able to get a haircut. I haven’t had one since early March. It was good to get a haircut at the barbershop but it is going to take some getting used to.

Stay safe everyone. What are some things you’ve been able to do at home during COVID-19 pandemic?
