The benefits of Apple Care

Apple Care is the manufacturer’s warranty for the iPhone and many other Apple products. The warranty costs $129 for the iPhone and $49 for many other Apple products. The Apple Care warranty lasts for two years from the date of purchase of your device. Apple Care helps you with several of the issues you would have to pay for if you did not have Apple Care and they will even replace your iPhone for free if you accidentally drop it in water. The benefit of Apple Care is that it covers up to two incidents of accidental damage, which are defined as unintentional damage that arises from an electrical defect or a mechanical failure of the product, such as a broken screen or water damage, and it is not a result of user abuse.

AppleCare is one of the most important purchases you can make for your iPhone. While many people think of it as an insurance policy you purchase for your iPhone, it is far more than that. AppleCare is also a training and support program, a replacement service, and a return policy.

Apple offers this option because iPhones can be expensive to repair or replace, and you might not be able to afford the high prices some repair shops charge. I will caution you that most new iPhone comes with a complimentary Apple Care subscription for 30 days. You must decide to extend before it’s expiration. If it expires you will then have a limited warranty that typically is for a year.

Since iPhones are expensive, I’d recommend extending your Apple Care subscription. You never know when you may need it. Some devices maybe eligible to buy Apple Care coverage after the expiry date. You may check the warranty status on Apple’s support website!
